Ethos Labs is a space cybersecurity lab — training the operators, engineers, and defenders who keep spacecraft trustworthy. We teach the tradecraft, build the hardware to practice on, and research the links that hold it all together.
- The attack surface just opened up.
Small-sat launches removed the last barrier to entry. Now anyone can put an object in orbit — and anyone can try to reach into one.
- Space is IT with worse latency and no reboot.
The old assumption — "nobody's out there" — was never quite true, and it's dead now. Existing security practice needs adaptation, not reinvention.
- The workforce isn't there yet.
Space operators know spacecraft. Security teams know networks. Very few know both. We train the people who bridge them.

How we're different
Hardware in the loop. Every lab uses real radios, real ground software, and real spacecraft interfaces — not slide decks or theoretical scenarios. If it doesn't map to something operators actually touch, we don't teach it.
We cover the whole stack: mission operations centers, RF links, flight software, and payload. Most training picks a corner. We think the interesting problems live at the seams between them.
Ethos isn't a vendor arm. We don't have a product to sell you at the end of the course. What we sell is the training, and what we publish is what we've actually built and tested.
